An ultrasonic transducer is a device used to convert an energy form into an ultrasonic vibration. The most common use of ultrasonic transducers in the medical field is ultrasonic imaging. It involves the creation of ultrasonic sound waves using a transducer and the conversion of the reflected ultrasound waves into an electric signal.
When any object or block is detected by an ultrasonic transducer, it transmits the waves reflected from the object. The transducer also receives these waves and sends them to a computer that uses them to create an image called the sonogram. It can generate as well as receive ultrasound waves.
